The IT Security Analyst Intern will assist with administration of IT policy and procedures related to our cyber security program. This role will assist with application and enforcement of respective policies and procedures to protect the Company network and data.

Essential Functions

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist with creation and maintenance of cyber security policies
Assist with creation, identification, administration, and delivery of cyber security employee training
Research new cyber security statutes, with assistance from Compliance and other bulletin notifications
Monitor statute requirements and assist with action plans for Pharmacists Mutual compliance
Assist with the development and implementation of information security plans as required to mitigate risk
Assist with IT disaster recovery and contingency planning efforts
Assist with provision of cyber security oversight (with the VP of IT Security, Infrastructure and business units) regarding best practices for cyber security standards
Participate in annual auditing of cyber security program
As appropriate, monitor and support IT Security technologies, including but not limited to Email SPAM filtering solutions, vulnerability scanning solutions, Intrusion Detection Systems, anti-virus software, Internet web filtering solutions
Utilize systems and resources to carry out analysis in support of security goals
Review and analyze system processes and procedures to determine the most efficient and cost effective security solutions for the Company, as needed
Assist with Third Party risk assessment administration; reporting gap and mitigation timelines

Experience and Education Qualifications

2 years of college
Pursuing a degree in IT Security or other relevant / related field

Preferred Qualifications

Student completing Junior year of college course work
